SK GOLF - MAKING GOLF ACCESSIBLE

Sahil Kulkarni’s love for golf can be summarized in one word – passion and his career spanning over 12 years is testament to just that. Growing up Sahil was always involved in sports, though his tryst with the game of golf started one summer vacation when he accompanied his father to the golf course. That along with a short stint at a golf camp, Sahil knew he had found his calling.

Sahil began his golfing career from the Army Golf Course, New Delhi at merely 15 years of age. In 2008 when he became an Amateur, Sahil sought out some of the best names in the country to train him. Along the way he got the opportunity to train with former national champion, Nonita Lal at the Delhi Golf Club. Under her tutelage, Sahil honed his skills and turned pro in December 2012.

In February 2014, he moved to Dublin, Ireland to train under Mr. David Keaney – the national golf coach for the Irish Ladies Golf team. June 2015 was the turning point for Sahil as he started training with Dr. Karl Morris in Manchester England. He is one of Europe’s leading Performance Coaches who has worked with and achieved success with six Major winners and over a 100 PGA Tour, European Tour, LPGA and Ladies European Tour golfers. With Dr. Morris, Sahil practiced the Mind Factor method, which is described as a practical approach to performance coaching that understands the role of the mind in sport. Both Dr. Morris and Mr. Kearney helped Sahil sharpen a number of aspects of his game such as accuracy, decision making, speed, confidence etc. It was this experience that helped Sahil realize his love for coaching and helping others benefit from the game just as he had – both on the course and off it.
